Review and FOTD: Etude Cookie Blusher and Dear Darling Petit Lip

 

Etude Cookie Blusher no 5

Pros

♠ Cute packaging and puff

♠ it has Gold Shimmer if you like a youthful and glowy finish like J. Lo

♠ Lovely teen-ish effect result, youll look younger in this color

Cons

♠ this kind of packaging can be seen in Tony Moly and other Korean brands too

♠ not that pigmented you have to put on 2-3 times to make it visible

♠ the lasting power is very usual..1-2hrs i think or 3hrs depends on the weather..i live in philippines hot and rainy all the time.

Conclusion

i love this color combined with the etude lip below, it gives a youthful glow so i like this despite the cons ;) the price is P328 pesos / $7.63

Will i repurchase?

nah..i want to buy something else from Etude and this will last me like a very long time ;)

Probably not, ill try something else from Etude Lipsticks :)

Practical way to clean Makeup Brushes

This time i cleaned my two Bobbi Brown Powder brush, BB Blush Brush, Sigma Blender brush (not in the pic though) Sigma Miss Taylor (which toke forever to dry)

-i used Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo

its very much recommended by D.G.S.Beauty, and Val. and also ive seen one or two youtubers do use JJ as a brush cleaner. i just wash them twice or till its clean.

-when im done cleaning a brush i place it on a towel till im done with them all

-i hanged them on the terrace, upside down. 

also i didnt put them directly in front of the sun because it will damage them. it was actually a gloomy rainy day when i cleaned them. Dont use clippers it will damage the brush. we have a rope for hanging clothes but its made with holes to fit the hangers, i just placed the brushes in the holes lolz

-when they are almost dry i placed them in curlers

like what ive seen from a Youtuber from Hong Kong Jasmine http://syuri-ya.blogspot.com/

you can make them stand or place them on a towel, this way it will keep the brush bristles original shape.

important: make sure the brushes are completely dry before storing them or it will mold eek!

optional: use a brush guard when completely dry, to protect ur brushes from dirt and keep them in perfect shape. store them in your pouch, keeping them on the table might cause some dust to get on your brushes and when you use them..pimples! worst scenario

i super duperrr highly recommend using J&J shampoo for cleaning your brushes, mine felt like new! and super soft i cant stop using the brushes after lolz XD

My Thoughts

i like that there is a pouch in the middle, i put in it my lancome and mac mascara, elf lip primer, etc.

The brushes are soft and dense, and my fave is the foundation brush which is synthetic but its super duper soft! its like silk! i tell ya..

Face blender white brush smells even after i washed it..grrr! might be goat hair ugh.

too bad i didnt check it well before i bought it, i wanted a lip brush, tsk tsk hehe well i still have my old one but i want a new one! i will buy it separately.

This happens to be my 1st ever branded brush set, am i that late bloomer? im 22 and i only got into makeup like last year lol or december 2009.

I tried to buy some cheap ones twice! last year and they just got lost w/o me even testing them out lol im just like that loosing a whole new makeup kit is just frustrating, lost it with new makeups too :(

My thoughts on each Brush:-

Foundation - Super soft Like silk! Favorite!
Blush - is ok
Bronzer - 2nd favorite i use it for foundation powder though..
Face Blender - i h8 goat hair!
Concealer - super silky
Eye Shader - love it!
Cream Shadow - silky brush xoxo
Eye Shadow - is ok
Eye Brow - is ok
Ultra Fine Eyeliner - works well
