Western Beef Stake is very different most of the time its grilled but the Filipino one as you can see the beef stake is made with soy sauce, black pepper, and onions ( i don't know the full recipe), side dish some vegetables to go with it.
Your personality also shows in cooking, for example maybe your mom beef stake version is sweet, but my mom version is kinda spicy or salty and so on ;)
it does not taste the same in all places, the taste is always a little bit different from each other, depending on who cooked it, same as Adobo :D i love Filipino dishes!
